I have decided that we should change the Left Right thing to Port Starboard, and divide our country into Red and green states. Hold on, there is a method to my madness. One thing is for sure, no one would know if they are left or right anymore. “Honey, is left?” And it will take years for us to figure it out, and by then we would have gone port and starboard so many times, we will all forget our differences and learned to steer the country together!

I decided not to comment on yesterdays post but since you brought up the port and starboard I have decided I will share my thought from yesterday.
My thought was why is Trump on the left (port) side of the boat and why is Biden on the right side (starboard) side of the boat?

I get it, I struggle with topics everyday. it seems odd to not deal with the elephant, and donkey in the room today. I hate this crap. And always try and find some sort of way to tie it back. And port and starboard are still confussing to me, like left and right states?

I have a good friend that I have worked with on and off over the years who is dyslexic. If you say turn left or right, he has to pause for a moment and think about it. If you say turn port or starboard, he does it immediately and correctly.
Once you’re used to it, it becomes a natural thing to follow.
WOW that would confuse everyone! Red would turn Green and Blue would turn Red. GREAT PLAN!

In light of things, happy voting day to all no matter who you choose! I have great friends on both sides and in the end we’ll all be on the lake undevided next year.
The way I have always remembered Port and Starboard, is Port, has four letters, the same as LEFT. Starboard has more than four as does RIGHT. The way to remember the colors…PORT wine is RED, the other is GREEN and also has the same number of letters as RIGHT.
