We are not in Kansas anymore. Thank god!

It’s been many years since I have driven through Kansas… And that was just yesterday… Leaving Kansas city into the vastness of clouds and tall grass one is momentarily ok with it all.. Rt 70 cuts right through the middle of the state. But! Dear god….. 8 hours later your still in the same spot. Sky and tall grass… Is there at least one boat in this place? Yes. But…plastic and ugh…

It was over 100 degrees and sorry fellow Kansas boaters.. All one of you.. It smelled like cow poop everytime I stopped to get gas. I wish all I smelled was gas…. Speaking of gas…..The highlight of the day was finding a nail in our trailer tire and in the truck tire .. Two nails… And stopped to have them fixed in Salina … I smelled something very different there. Mmmm the smell of cooking onions and burgers… Dang… Cozy burgers… Been there since the mid 20s and still cranking them out.

These little gut bombs made my day… So. Sorry fellow woodyboaterians … No nice classic boats.. I am having withdrawals.. Maybe I’ll go down to the hardware store and sniff a can of varnish….

At least you haven't run into a plague of grasshoppers, a tornado or hail!

Just think "BEEF", Rib-Eye, KC Strip, T-Bone, Porterhouse, etc. as you smell those wonderful odors. Cow pies translates directly to great beef!
