What The Hell! It’s Supposed To Be Summer!
Ok this is just plan mean! The gods are not being nice and just messing with me. It’s Memorial Day! Not thanksgiving!!! 50 degrees and Gail force winds. What the hell? I have not been able to boating all spring, not even gotten close to the water and now this crap! Today is supposed to be a tad bit better. And of course durring the week it’s supposed to be beutiful. Just in time for work. The only good thing from this is that I get to get Suzy ready slowly and on dry land. Wtf who am I kidding. Lets go boating!!!!!
Suzy’s looking good. We got Water Lily wet last week, and will be headed to the Spring Lake show on Friday. We are looking forward to Dennis Mykols showing us around a new lake.
Same crap here in Chicagoland!
Snow in the air yesterday in upstate NY. But my boat is ready to go!
Do not hesitate. Hit the launch codes. The heat is on the way.
Worked on American Beauty all day yesterday, Yorktown is way behind.
Heck I don’t even have my glass boats wet yet.
Splashed my clorox bottle a few weeks ago and have been out a little. It is still too cold and windy to take my woody out though.
Same crap here in Wisconsin land……..
Yup. But today, in Madison at least, it’s sunny. We launched Claribel (in the cold and rain) three weeks ago. Unfortunately, she still hasn’t left the slip.
57 degrees and a light breeze at Lake Arrowhead, CA. Boat is still upside down in the garage.
Got the Gar wet on a lovely weekend – our May long – last week. No boost or charge needed, a tiny shot of fluid and fired immediately. I just bought a small vintage Case 444 tractor to move my boats around in the storage building and property with much greater precision than is possible with a truck, so I am nearly ready to go. I just have to retrieve my FOUR! boats that are being worked on and I will be soon on the water for the season! About 3.5 inches of rain here in the last few days, very wet but verdant!
Same deal up here in Georgian Bay. Totally different from last year for sure.
Same here in Northern MI. At least it’s sunny.
The Raven is still in the barn. We’ve decided to take our time with paint and varnish since the weather won’t cooperate.
Kinda cool here this AM at 67 , but now it’s beautiful at 84,sunny, a few clouds and no wind…..guess I’ll go finish the trailers I started yesterday!!! (and maybe go for a beer on the river later)
I knew it would be a little cooler in the NW than Atlanta but thru western Montana/Coeur d’Alene, sleet on the windshield built up westbound but clear on the way back. Then about 5″ in Butte was melting down from the day before. Must be the coldest spring nationwide.
This is snow at the Anaconda, Montana welcome station where we had java and cookies with Marine vets prior to Memorial Day, Semper Fi Marines.
Summer is only a couple of months away!
Winter might be even closer.
I wish I had my boat…going to miss most of this season but worth it getting a new bottom…at least ill have it for the wedding and honeymoon
We are running thoroughbreds on big bass lake In northern Michigan with our sweatshirts on. Just in for a break, and out again soon To burn moregas!
Yippee
Giddy Up!!!
picked up the clarion from clayton yesterday.drove 8hrs to watch it sit in the driveway had to go today. 50deg high winds 3′ to 4′ waves marina told our friend paying the fee for the ramp that no one is out boating, but we went for about an hour. we had a hoot. got a little wet but found a friendly spot behind georgina island and opened her up. smiles all around and the water washed all the cobwebs off. sure hope its nicer next weekend. It will be JUNE
Sunny & 80 degrees here in tornado alley! I need to do some work on Daddy Had One & ARRRGH! needs new hoses, but she is buffed & polished after going to a party in Tulsa.
Will launch midweek when all of the clorox bottles are gone!
