It’s Woofy Boater Day, With A Twist And A Click!
Today is all about our beloved 4 legged friends. We did this for an entire week last summer. Very fun stuff. It’s simple, ya just comment and post a pic of your best pal. We are trying to prove a point that Woody Boaters love their hound dogs!
And We need a favor. I have a new project i have been working on in my other life. The one that pays for my life, wife, and food… The project is for a brand new company called VOYCE… It will be unveiled in Las Vegas on Jan 7th. I cannot say any more about it, other than you can watch the teaser video I made..
ITS A TEASE to the folks going to CES.. The Consumer Electronics Show.. This company is one of the coolest companies I have worked on. It’s a way to Understand Your Dog Like Never before. You can also LIKE them on Facebook here and get updates..
So how can you help. ONE CLICK ONE VOTE…. Just click here at an event being held which 10 products have been chosen from the show as the top 10 products. Yes VOYCE is one of them. We need your VOTE to beat out the others. We are honestly not sure if we are up against a robot , but we are calling all our peeps to vote.
Thanks again for your vote, we will let you all know as soon as the product is unveiled. Here are some samples from the past Woody Barker Week..
Thanks again, Post your pooch..
Annie & I were out cruising aboard Pumpkin! The pink sunglasses must have come from one of my little cousins. It was a great day!
We lost our 14 year old “Boat Dog” Shadow last year. Here is a picture of Mo, that we have had about a month. She will start learning the ropes this Spring. It will be an exciting time for all of us.
Greg, lovely dog. A couple spots on his tongue there. A little bit Chow?
Cacoe waiting patiently for dad to get his act together.
You got my vote. And you’re in second place.
Here is Jack waiting for me to finish my restoration project.
Hopefully he is patient ….
Here is Scooter out on Apple Canyon in Northern Illinois in July 2013.
He only looks this happy when he is out on the water!
Still in second place but I will vote often. Did this idea come from the movie UP? Squirrel!
Here’s our Brittany Spaniel ‘Cooper”. He loves the boat and when he isn’t actually going for a ride… he waits on the dock for any hope of going for a ride.
I don’t have a dog, so I had to borrow one.
I want to know whats on Troys hard drive.. Wait maybe I dont..
Good work Troy….You’ve done it again!
Troy, saw this dog the other day. Are you sure he doesn’t belong to you? Because…
Is that one of those new kind of weiner dogs?
Funny but wrong!!!! LOL
I voted…Hope you move into first place…Sounds like a product I need as you;l see from my comments on the ballot
Here is a shot of our Schnauzer “Beemer” with my son Dan’s dog “Maddie” in Charleston Harbor.
I cant tell you anything about this project but vote for it anyway. maybe your living a little too close to Washington its starting to rub off on ya
-44 below here…won’t be woodyboating for a while…
You got my vote.
Matt will you be in Vegas for CES ?
thanks, no I wont. Wish I was, it will be a fun show!
Baker with her head stuck in the gate. Photographer criticized for taking time to go get camera instead of immediately rescuing dog. Baker has since grown so her nose barely fits in the opening.
The cutest picture. I wonder if they know how much joy they bring us!
Baker hits the water to fetch a Wilson 4. She will do this all day if someone will throw it in the pool for her. Photo taken with a Canon G10 inside a waterproof housing.
Very nice shot, Kentucky. Say, are you related to the Headhunters?
Ha, no. They are from Metcalfe County, which is southeast of me by about 90 miles. The boys can play, though!
My area is better known by its bluegrass music because Bill Monroe was born about 20 miles away. The International Bluegrass Music Museum is in my town of Owensboro. The Kentucky Wonder name came from a Woodyboater contest after I got deputized as the Bluegrass ‘Boater Bureau. Here’s the link to the story: https://www.woodyboater.com/classic-boat-destinations/report-in-from-bluegrass-acbs-redezvous-on-lake-cumberland-new-reporter-needs-a-name-win-a-free-t-shirt/
Boater dog Jenny. Guarding the 1934 CC Utility 65! Still a long way to go with restoration before she gets a ride.
We lost two dogs to old age this November, my lab and by parents’ St. Bernard. Neither were big fans of actually getting in boats, prefering the waterfront and dock lifestyle.
I am in the market for a new puppy, and the one Troy posted looks like a great one, especially if the puppy-nanny I. The picture comes with it!
For tomorrow’s story, may I suggest a feature on vintage snow cats? I might need one to get to work on time.
Sally,
And Gus,
Here ya go m-fine.
Not sure how he can help get you to work, but give it a try; Braun will do anything to get back in where it’s warm…..
Mario relaxing in the sun during a boat ride.
Where is Mario’s pink life jacket. He is the man!!!
Grand dogs pups… Not ready to go boating yet.
Zephyr the Wonder Dog cleaning up after the Woody Boater Christmas party.
Polar. Pat Chow, part Golden. Humane Society dog. Taken 2001. He passed in 2007, at age 11. We buried him at our cottage in Hessel, with a great view of the sunsets and the full scent of the lake breeze. My best friend, and a gentleman dog.
Another pic of Polar. He could look right through you with those eyes.
More of those Italian dogs. They sure have class
Lily the shop dog at rest.
What a day for this story, Matt. We had to put our 9YO dog down a couple weeks ago due to some freak incident. Today we were at the beach and we spread her ashes. She was a great dog and she’ll be missed.
While we were dispersing her cremains, an old dog sauntered up to us and just sat there, hanging out, as if to tell us all was good. Her owners were near by but the dog just layed down with my family and I.
My dog wasn’t a “woodyboater” because she was a little too active for my taste on a runabout, but we did get her out on the award winning Arabian from time to time. She is missed.
waiting to be picked up.
great fishing buddy
Nothing makes the two men in my life happier than a ride on Torch Lake! That’s hubby Dennis and our Yorkie Gilmore. Gilmore thinks he is a 105 lb Labrador!!
Gilmore again delivering lunches to the floating picnic on Torch Lake for the Jane Thie Memorial Wood Boat Show.
I did not mean to pee on the teak…
