On The Run – Troy Sighting In Reedville!
We are officially back on track here in Woodyboaterville. Humans are getting out and about and headed to Florida. Two years in the making. And we got to get a very small taste of that last night with a wonderful dinner with Troy and Sandi, here on the Northern Neck of Virginia, on there way down to Florida.
You all may know Troy as the commenter that keeps the comment section a little lively from time to time. But what you may not know is he is one of the most decent folks I know. His wonderful wife Sandi is his secret power and a true joy to be around. Troy was also the Chris Craft Clubs President for a while during a very tough time in its history, and his sense of humor and shrug off the BS style kept it going forward.
Like many of us, we have an internet image and a our real lives are very different. Real and multi dimensional. I know as a fact that many think I am a complete turd, and when we all meet in person, understand the real us, and you. AND THAT IS THE REASON WE ALL NEED TO BE IN FLA in two weeks. The human connection is real, and true, and truly one of the most powerful forces on the planet earth.
A huge thanks to Troy and Sandi for making the trip out of the way to remind us all of the Power of connection.
Packing daily. Gonna miss my guys.(not)
“he is one of the most decent folks I know”
This is a clear sign that you need to get out and meet people!
32 and cloudy today, but only 18 days until I get to see sunshine again…and Troy as well.
No BACON for you!!
Now that’s funny right there, I don’t care who you are.
Better get to Dora quick Troy! Your woody boater babes are waiting for you. Just don’t tell Sandi😃
Mark: Keep them warm for me please!!!!!
Isn’t that Sandi in the back?
safe travels buddy….see you and Sandi soon!
John in Va
Matt: Too bad you had to go to Falls Church today.
It is a beautiful day at the railway!
I got my Dora shirt and I’m not even there yet!!!
Woohooo!!!!!!
Something you might not have seen in Matt’s posts.
His gearhead foot gas peddle.
Oh Matt really?
A Matco ratchet? The Kobalt torque wrench was bad enough, these guys sell at Snap-on prices, but their quality is that of Kobalt.
Jeff and Troy are and boat trips scheduled for the St. Johns River?
Art: We expect to get on the river for a day or two and hope to catch up with the gang, but will not be doing the whole cruise this year.
Hope to swing into Silver Glenn Springs again.
Beautiful boating conditions in Dora-Land, and a string of good weather to come. Hurry down Troy/Sandy, anxious to see you two. Fueling up here at the new fuel dock at Tavares yesterday. The new docks are quite nice.
Nice boat Jeff, looks great for a river trip. Is it custom built?
On my 400 mile cycling adventure through Maine peddling 65 miles a day and camping out each night and freezing in the 48-72 degree weather I was not prepared for, Troy offered me overnight accomodations and boat rides on American Beauty, his CC Constellation. I jumped at the chance while I did a layover day in Boothbay Harbor. Having trained in Georgia in 95 degree heat, I was not prepared for the cool temps at night. Thank you Troy and Sandi for the hospitality. Look forward to seeing everyone, well, most everyone. She says its time for a boat ride. I’ll be happy to oblige.
Floyd: you are welcome back anytime!!
DAMNIT!!
Boat ride, or Motor Boat ride Floyd? You never know who will show up at the Railway, do you Matt. I’ll keep them warm Troy!
I’m game for either Mark.
See you there!
Sunnyland can’t come soon enough and I’m so happy to see Gottago heading south once again! Now if only that Ford was a RAM it would truly be a beautiful sight… 😉
We had the pleasure of spending the beginning of the pandemic with Troy and Sandi and they were wonderful companions during that weird time. Can’t wait to see everyone in Florida!
wish I’d been there!
