One Of The Big Reasons I Keep Doing Woody Boater

Lily first appeared on Woody Boater over a decade and half ago!

I am asked all the time, why do you do this? To be honest, most of the time its just habit at this point. A morning ritual that eases me into the day and the hijinks it all ensues. BUT, from time to time, and especially July I get a Lily update. And it all comes flooding back. We are all here a family. A community, and Lily kinda is a timeline of how far we have come together.

Lily and HER boat!

Who is Lily? Well, if you are new here in this wacko family, Lily is Chads first child, and we have watched her grow up here for 17 years. Good lord! Has it been that long?

One of my favorite photos of Lily

Lily is our bar tender at the Annual Holiday party – She mixes a wicked Shirley Temple.

Lily on Lily

LILY has made some great headers

And here is Lily today at the helm of LILY her boat and well. I am just going do go grab my walker… I got some new tennis balls for it, and go eat some jello, and watch myself age some more. LILY, you are wonderful for putting up with your Dads yearly updates!

Matt, I hope you got one of those walkers with a seat. That makes it easier to work on the boats.

I have followed Chad, LILY, and Lily through WB since our first show together in Traverse City in ’07. They are wonderful ambassadors and represent what WB is all about. Happy Birthday Lily!

Geeez sure makes me realise how long I’ve been mixed up in all this when I see this timeline of pictures. A very happy birthday to you Lily and good on you for taking these pictures Chad. Good stuff.

Lilly even made it into a Ad for CCABC (Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club)! Unfortunately I am not able to find a copy to add here.

    Happy Birthday Lilly!

Happy birthday, Lily! And congratulations Durren family on starting this great family legacy. It’s a huge part of what vintage boating is all about. Well done!
