Watching Them Grow Up – The True Joy Of WoodyBoater.
Every now and then, I am joyfully reminded why we do WoodyBoater. And today is one of those days. Our annual Lily update. Watching all our families grow up together and continuing the tradition of warm summer smiles and sunsets that our boats absorb is magical!
It is truly amazing that we have been blessed with the amazing opportunity to watch Lily grow up to a beautiful young lady, and yet, Chads boat looks like the day it was born.
Those of you new to WoodyBoater, we have been following Lily since the day she was born and the naming of her boat. Long time fellow WoodyBoater Chad has also shared the birth of his son Cooper. Who is now 4 WOW!
It would be wonderful today to see any great family shots that you have. Share the joy!
Here is Sam along for a ride on AB!
Mom and Uncle Dicky at the helm.
Unfortunately Uncle Dicky left us for the great marina in the sky this winter. I miss him a great deal.
How wonderful it is to be on the water with the family. It doesn’t get any better than this.
Here is Dennis’s Shot
Here is my youngest daughter the day we brought Rocket Man home and then again after the restoration was completed.
Brenden, 10 at the helm and Henry 3 enjoying their first woody boater experience on Long Lake. All smiles. It helps that the boat gets up and goes. It is all about zipping around the lake at 10 years old. Wooohooo. I didn’t even get a chance to drive. Brenden sat down and said I have dibs on driving. No contest.
Will takes the helm.

This Is Barent and Lindsey on Lake Tahoe in our Century Resorter Summer of 84. Between them they have given us five beautiful grandchildren that are growing up with classic boats, and the Resorter is still in the family.
My grand daughter loving the wood boats
Both of my daughters started boating and attending boat shows before they were born and now my youngest is showing her own boat.
My folks on the Mighty Willamette river a couple years ago.
Grandchildren and I riding in their great great grandfather’s restored 1954 Lyman.
Love that nautical outfit and the wave, so cute as they all are.
