A Carfree Labor Day Weekend

Early morning, driving with my foot. The seat was wet. No itchy but for me.
No thats not a typo, car free, as in no cars, no meetings, just me and Mr B and his boat. I am falling deep in love with this little gas sucker. The Model B engine brings me great joy, and leaves a slick of carbon black crap in the water. I know, but it runs so well. And the more I run it, the better it runs.

mmm, brought along a little guest. Stow away! Maybe Lizzy and him could meet up. Anyone in Arkansas heading east..

Headed to the office

Arriving to play work
Yesterday I was in the throws of adding more windows to the big doors, and thanks to my wonderful neighbor Pam, who loves to forage, was able to find two more matching windows, so the smaller door also got the perfect match. BAM, that did the trick, and today I need to go in and secure it all, thanks Bill for the engineering advice. Going to add some structural support so it can survive a storm.

The new windows need glass, thats today

But finishes off the look, game changer, I know just opening the doors gives it a much broader view, but there is something about a frame that gives it a special feeling

Framing the landscape
The weather has been as predicted for this time of year. PUR MAGIC. Lower humidity, soft breeze and just perfect light. I swear, if this is the only weekend of the year I get to enjoy al of this, it was worth it. This is what Woodyboating is all about. Just life on the water in a woody boat, and doing a project. Ahhhhhhh, tomorrow is back to the grind, and prepping for another shoot next week. I suppose in an odd way, it all makes days like yesterday more special.

I am happy on the inside.

Girgle girgle

Enjoy!
and a Happy Labor day to us all! John in cooling down Va
We’ve been enjoying our little gas guzzlin Model 99 as well.
And the windows look great. It’s like an ever changing giant mural and nothing’s better than more natural light.
And I forgot to comment earlier, nice knockers…. at the Railway.
Love it!
