Labor Day Weekend

Art

The master plan – New windows, sign and a refresh of the top of the shop

Well, here we are. Summer is over and I am finally getting into a rhythm of boating to the railway and looking forward to some small projects. We have the B/8 in Arkansas that needs a chain link east? And some other goofy stuff I am fishing around with for a cool fall winter project. If real work slows down. Headed back up to NJ for some more filming and then down to Orlando for another shoot. AND get ready because October marks our 20th year. Yup. 20 years ago. Insane!

This weekend, the windows, thanks to a good dumpster diveI was able to score 6 window panels.

A rendering of what I hope it will look like – and yes, driving Miss B to the office. A little bit of joy on a hot day

One set, these have been trimmed up and glued together, today I hopefully they will hold together. This has failure written all over it. But is part of the fun.

Front door has a fresh coat of paint

Boat Hill has even gotten a bit of a touch up, been talking with George to figure out who these rudders belonged to. That Red Bottom paint so they age in a cool way

STAY TUNED

Summer ends September 22, not today. Summer is short enough, especially for our more northern friends.
    Don’t rush it.
When you arrive in NJ it will still be summer ! None of the pumpkin spice crap.

First time I’ve noticed Boat Hill. That’s brilliant. You’re so clever, Matt, that you should consider a career in advertising.

Maybe add faux mullions to those modern windows to match the multi-pane style original windows? Or would that look too busy.

You need to add names/dates of boats that are no longer with us to those ‘rudderstones’.
