A Perfect Starter Boat And Winter Project

1952 Whirlwind 12ft
As we all wait for the impending doom of change, new home page here. I found this little 12 ft Whirlwind on Facebook Flea Market, and man oh man, it’s priced right, its got style, and is a very doable project for over the winter.

Amazing lines
At just 12 feet long you could actually restore it in the family room. Football, some brewskis and some stripper? Oh hell ya! Okay, it may cause a little strife in the old family situ, but, come on. The boat will become a family heirloom, and you my friend. A LEGEND!

At some point the wheel may have been in the back, which is even cooler
All kidding aside…or was I? These Whirlwinds are amazing boats. You wont have to do a bottom job, and with a new outboard, little rockets. I would put a 35HP 4 stroke on it, and doll it up to look old.

No trailer, but you get the dolly.
Also this is the earlier hull design, so it has some very classic vibes going on. And when you are done restoring the boat, it will be worth about what you paid for the new engine. So that part kinda sucks. But, don’t sell it. Leave it in the family room. You will have plenty of room after the entire family leaves and you and you’re little Whirlwind can catch the game together.

Who says you can’t polish a turd?

Would make a great trophy?
BONUS for today, while you are on the facebook Marketpace, we also have this AMAZING gold toilet. Oh heck ya. If you are gonna be living alone, you might as well live it up. CLICK HERE.
STAY TUNED FOR THE BIG CHANGE – TOMORROW !

Well then, we can hope for a bright tomorrow!
Man, I was going to buy that Whirlwind but the listing no longer exists!
There you go again with that change thing stressing a old man out….before it happens ahhhh
Sorry is is gone already but it was a great example of a great boat. Now I am not on FaKebook at all…refuse…but I miss a lot of deals like this one….which is yet another benefit of not being on FB….since last thing I need is another project…would keep me from all year round Going Boating! John in pretty fall days VA.
You mentioned that you like a back-seat driver. This is a homebuilt replica of a Sande Ace
13 footer with 1959 Mark 58A.
Speaking of back seat drivers. This boat is named Back seat Driver!
