FLATHEAD FIASCO — PART TWO THE ARKANSAS CONNECTION
This just in from Hamster… Ya can’t make this stuff up! Dammmmm
The original stowaway returns — and may be our best candidate for Leg Two.The original appearance back at Tim Robinson’s warehouse. He was already living with the Flathead before anybody started talking about Arkansas.
Remember the little guy from picture one?
The one sitting on the Flathead back at Tim Robinson’s warehouse like he owned it?
Well, apparently he did.
For the record, he is an alligator lizard, not a gecko. This has not stopped anyone from asking him about insurance.
While everyone else was busy finding the motor, moving the motor, measuring the SUV with the proven WoodyBoater method of “Yeah… that’ll fit,” and strapping several hundred pounds of Detroit iron into place, our Southern California alligator lizard quietly stayed aboard.
Part One opened with him. Nobody gave him a travel itinerary. Nobody bought him a ticket. He simply remained with the Flathead and headed east.
Leg One complete. Flathead secured, Arkansas reached, and one undocumented passenger still aboard.
California disappeared in the rearview mirror. Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and points beyond rolled past.
And when the load finally reached Arkansas, the original warehouse resident emerged from his accommodations.
The Flathead had made Leg One.
The lizard had made Leg One too. No hotel bill. No meal allowance. No complaints to management. So far, he is the cheapest member of the transport crew. Which brings us to the next problem.
The motor still needs to get from Arkansas to Matt Smith at Woody Boater World headquarters in Reedville.
We may have found our driver. He already knows the cargo. He has demonstrated excellent interstate endurance. He requires almost no luggage. He has not asked for fuel money. And apparently he refuses to leave the Flathead anyway.
He also declined to say whether fifteen minutes could save us fifteen percent on the fuel bill.
There is only one minor logistical issue: HIS FEET DON’T REACH THE PEDALS. His commercial driver’s license is also, technically, nonexistent.
Arkansas arrival: same passenger, same Flathead, considerably farther from home.
So, Arkansas WoodyBoaters, we may still need a little help with Leg Two.
But if this thing eventually rolls into Reedville with an alligator lizard sitting behind the wheel, don’t ask too many questions.
At this point, that would probably be the most organized part of the entire Flathead Fiasco.
TO BE CONTINUED… assuming the driver doesn’t stop for bugs — or an insurance quote.

Lizzy now lives in Arkansas. And yes we double checked on if Lizzy can support herself in Arkansas in the wild. She is a alligator lizard, so life will not be normal for a bit. And most likely destroy the eco system of our planet as we know it. She is now living in Johns backyard now. Otherwise known from this point forward as GROUND ZERO – Also she is better off in Arkansas than on the East coast according to the interneter. So there is hope for her.
*NOTE TO ALL WOODYBOATERS, if you can make it part way that’s fine. It’s a 16 ish drive for us in Reedville. But the plan is to get it a tad closer. Atlanta is 10 hrs, NC would be great, or? It is a daisy chain after all.
