A Week Of Weak Stories From Oregon.

Well, you were warned
As promised today is another lame ass story and thank god for the comment section. WOW, the Crater Lake tour boat is a very cool project, and there is a link in yesterdays comments to look at. Its a fun little rabbit hole to go into. Atkins Boats and all.

Former Crater lake Tour boat saved and now on Priest lake . Vary cool story
We are slowly kinda getting our bearings to even know what to do next. I know this much, it will involve driving and eating. Bend is a very nice small town with clearly a ton to do. Reminds me very much of what Mill Valley and Larkspur CA in Marin County were like when we first moved there in the 1980’s. And yes, it’s kinda bursting at the seams with people. But that also makes it fun and gives people permission to start new ideas in business. So? Thats that.

I did get a huge fortune cookie. $2 and it was good. Don’t recall the fortune.
Well, lame right? Told you so. Maybe the comment section will help today some more. Oh and later than normal stories. West Coast time. It just gets better and better.

The Atkins Boats is an interesting and cool story. Nice to know they are still alive and well in new waters!
Matt, maybe I can help with zhuzh up (had to look up the spelling) in Oregon which is my old stomping grounds. Look up PT 658 or let me know the area you are in and I bet there’s something around that holds an old boat or story. Oregon is a very beautiful state!
I read the article about the boats, It was very interesting. Do they still have tour boats on Crater Lake? I don’t recall seeing any, or any information about them, when we were there. I remembered this morning. I was in Coos Bay Oregon when Elvis died.
Well, that’s news ! After years, or decades, of Elvis sightings….it is finally confirmed that he is no longer with us.
And it happened in Coos Bay, of all places? That must have really put Coos Bay on the tourist destination map.
Or, did we slightly mis-understand Mark ?
Bill and Linda . No sightings of Elvis in Coos Bay. Just headlines in a newspaper ( yes they had those in 1977) of his death. So yes he is really dead. I have heard the fishing is not as good in Coos Bay since Elvis died. But that is another story.
It’s a “Beautiful Day” when you are headed out for a boat ride! OK that was yesterday, and today is launching up at Manson- Mill Bay boat launch and headed down to the city of Chelan.
Lots of retired folks here, warmer and bluer skies than the western side.
Note the new flag at my little house, to honor my Canadian GF Elizabeth, eh?
Good morning from the condo! The buoys are set out for the hydroplane race course. Yes Matt, you can buy a ride. Hey, if Texx can come out here on his motorcycle, that Volvo (XC90?) can make it up here!
Matt,
You need to meet up with Ron in Chelan, get a hydroplane ride & write about it for WoodyBoater!
